Canadian coffee shop chain opens second Scottish store

Canadian Coffee Shop ‘Tim Horton’s‘ is set to open its second Scottish location tomorrow.

The Canadian brand, which have more than 3,400 restaurants across the country, opened their first U.K. branch on Argyle St. in Glasgow last May.

David Pierotti, General Manager of Silverburn, said:

“Tim Hortons is a great addition to the tenant mix here at Silverburn. The centre continues to attract international and exciting brands such as this, which has chosen Silverburn for its first store inside a Scottish shopping centre. I’m sure that our customers will be keen to try out the fantastic offer, including the brand’s favourite Timbits.”

Among ‘Tim’s’ as it is locally known, best known treats are ‘Timbits’ – bite sized doughnut balls.
The brand was founded by Ice Hockey Star Miles Gilbert ‘Tim’ Horton in 1964.
