Royal Mail introduce their first ever festive ‘singing’ post boxes in London and Cardiff today.
As the nation prepares for the festive season, Royal Mail unveils the first two of four Christmas post boxes to spread fun and cheer over the coming weeks. Today’s chosen locations are Greenwich Promenade in London and Queen Street in Cardiff.
The singing post boxes are installed with sensors that serenade you as you post your letter. They are adorned with snowflakes and will play one of three jingles in the chosen busy Hotspots across the nation.
Simon Barker, Operations Director at Royal Mail said : “Delivering Christmas is our absolute priority this December. In the process, we enjoy any way we can add a little extra fun to posting Christmas cards this year.”
Two more post boxes are set to be revealed in Wellington Place in Belfast tomorrow and Edinburgh at 137-141 High Street on Wednesday 28th, with all remaining in place throughout December.
